If you’re looking for that tucked away campground that is “off the beaten path of commercial camping” you’ve found it. Sunset Point Campground is nestled approximately half way between Bar Harbor and Eastport and easily passed by, by travelers in a rush. Located on tidal shores and only 3 miles off Rte 1 we offer campers to stop and smell the roses. The country atmosphere, the scenic downeast coastal setting and an accommodating host will make this stop a memorable one. Easy in easy out and pull thrus that accommodate most vehicles will make this a hassle free and pleasant stay.
Walk along the shore, smell the ocean and observe clam diggers and lobster fishermen do their daily chores. Well kept grounds, clean restrooms, and a good selection of books in our swap library might make this your destination to visit destinations. Within an hour’s drive you can visit Bar Harbor, Lubec, Petit Manan Wildlife Preserve, Rogue Bluffs State Park and Fishing Villages such as Jonesport, Winter Harbor, Prospect Harbor or perhaps hike on nearby trails. At Sunset Point you won’t find entertainment, just, “Simplicity at its Best.

Great quiet camping spaces with more space than most. It's a small business that only excepts cash or check by the owner operator. The bath house is very clean. They have lots of books and dvds free to borrow.

Ravine Cottage is a paradise for nature enthusiasts like us. The guided hikes and wildlife tours were incredible, and the Riverside Retreat made us feel connected to the outdoors at all times. We left feeling refreshed and in awe of the natural beauty.
